It's been a tumultuous 18 months for the cricketing world, and the postponement of the ICC T20 World Cup has been at the centre of it.

Originally scheduled for India in October 2020, it has now been moved to the UAE and Oman for October and November in 2021.

Here's everything you need to know for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. 

WHEN IS THE T20 WORLD CUP?

After originally being scheduled for 2020, the T20 World Cup has been moved to this year and will begin on October 17th.

The final will take place on November 14th. 

WHERE IS THE T20 WORLD CUP?

After originally being scheduled to take place in India, the tournament will now take place in the UAE and Oman.

WHO IS PLAYING IN THE T20 WORLD CUP?

There will be 16 teams playing in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Australia are ranked 7th in the world in the shortest form of the game and will compete in the tournament.

T20 WORLD CUP DRAW

While the groups have been released (see below), the schedule for the tournament will be released at a later date.

Teams will play in round 1 of the tournament, with the top from each group progressing to the Super 12's against the top-eight ranked T20 cricket nations.

There will be 45 games in the tournament including the final.

HOW TO WATCH T20 WORLD CUP IN AUSTRALIA

Fox Cricket will broadcast the T20 World Cup this October and November. They will likely show all of Australia's games as well as selected other games. 

Kayo Sports will also be streaming games throughout the tournament.
