The fourth T20 international match between Australia and India saw Australia collapse in their run chase, losing 7/28 as India won by 48 runs.

It was the first time Gold Coast Stadium hosted a cricket match between these two sides, with 20,470 watching Shubman Gill hit 46 (39) and Washington Sundar bowl 3/3 from 1.2 overs.

Axar Patel was named man of the match, hitting 21* (11) and taking 2/20 off four overs in a fantastic game by the 31-year-old.

India takes a 2-1 lead heading into the fifth and final match and will aim to win their fifth T20I series in a row against the Aussies on Saturday night at The Gabba.

Australia hasn't won a T20I series against India since 2019, when they won the two-match series 2-0, while India are trying to win their fifth T20I series in a row against the Aussies. Australia need to win this to try and win the series in the fifth and final game in Brisbane to win the series.

6:30pm (AEDT): The teams will be announced shortly, with Australia expected to add Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa while Travis Head and Sean Abbott will miss the final two games due to the upcoming Ashes series. I would expect India to come into the game unchanged after their big win on Sunday.

Australia vs. India 4th T20I predicted XIs, team news

Travis Head will miss the fourth T20I match as he returns to South Australia to prepare for the upcoming Sheffield Shield match and The Ashes series.

Glenn Maxwell is expected to take his place in the team after taking an extra match to recover from a wrist injury, which saw him miss the first three games.

Ben Dwarshuis  is expected to take Sean Abbott's  place in the team, with Abbott only available for the first three games while Dwarshuis is returning from a calf issue, which saw him miss the first three games of the series. 

Young Western Australian bowler Mahli Beardman  has been named in the squad for the last three games and could also be named in the side, with the 20-year-old already capable of bowling mid-140 km/h.
