Australia will be looking to seal The Ashes on Wednesday, with the famous Old Trafford in Manchester set to host the fourth Test against England.

The sides have faced each other at the ground twice in the past decade, with the Aussies producing a stellar performance back in the 2019 series to help them retain the urn.

This time around, the visitors will enter the clash with a 2-1 series lead and are hopeful of gaining an unassailable lead heading into the final game at The Oval.

The Sporting News details Australia's history at Old Trafford below.

Australia's record at Old Trafford

Over the years, Australia have played 30 Tests against England at Old Trafford, as well as a further one match against South Africa at the same venue.

Of those matches against England, the visitors have come away with nine victories and 15 draws, giving them the historical ascendancy, with the hosts winning the remaining six contests.
