What happened to Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight?

Davis withdrew from his scheduled November fight with Paul after being hit with a lawsuit that accused him of domestic violence. Here are the details of the allegations against Davis.

Gervonta Davis lawsuit

Paul was set to fight Gervonta Davis in a blockbuster mid-November fight, but a civil lawsuit accusing Davis of battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress against a woman who claims to be his ex-girlfriend forced him to withdraw from the fight.

Davis is accused of attacking the woman, who is a "VIP waitress" at a Miami Gardens gentleman's club, on Oct. 27, but that incident is not isolated, she claims. The woman alleges Davis also choked her in August and held her against her will with a weapon at his home in September, and she claims Davis threatened to kill her in September after she refused to answer his phone calls.

The lawsuit is only a civil filing, but ESPN reported a police report was also filed in Miami Gardens.

With Davis out, Paul still pursued another opponent for a rescheduled fight and appears to have secured one in Joshua.

Jake Paul height, weight

Paul weighed in at 199.4 pounds for his fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. In July, after coming down from 227 pounds for his heavyweight bout with Mike Tyson. He stands at about 6-1.

Anthony Joshua height, weight

Joshua represents a massively different physical challenge than Davis, who is only about 135 lbs, as the former heavyweight champion is 6-6 and weighed in at 252 lbs for his bout with Dubois in late 2024.
