Chris Eubank Jr. And Conor Benn go back into battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
Eubank prevailed in an instant classic back in April, gaining a deserved unanimous decision victory over Benn.
Both men enhanced their reputations in a worthy addition to their families' combat canon, following Eubank Sr. And Nigel Benn's titanic battles in the 1990s.
Despite the lack of controversy over the outcome, Benn largely outperformed expectations, and the toll a gruelling encounter took upon a weight-drained Eubank created a market for a lucrative rematch.
Among active fighters, these are two of the very biggest draws in British boxing right now, despite the lack of a legitimate world title between them.
On the undercard, several of their compatriots will try to make the case to fill the current stars' void on the UK scene — something that needs to happen if these stadium nights are to remain a reality.

Chris Eubank Jr. Vs. Conor Benn 2 undercard
Here's a breakdown of all the action on the Eubank vs. Benn 2 card:
Jack Catterall vs. Ekow Essuman
- Division/Weight: Welterweight
- Catterall record: 31-2
- Essuman record: 22-1
- Belts at stake: N/A
Former world-title challenger Catterall returns to action for the first time since splitting with long-time coaches Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis, under the watchful eye of Derek 'Bozy' Ennis.
These two share a common opponent, with Essuman having fought to a unanimous decision win over Catterall's great rival Josh Taylor last time out, ultimately forcing Scotland's former undisputed champion at 140 pounds into retirement.
That was Essuman's third victory in succession after the surprise loss of his British and Commonwealth welterweight titles to Harry Scarff in November 2023. Catterall got back in the win column with a blood-stained technical decision victory over Harlem Eubank in July after his agonising split decision loss to Arnold Barboza for the WBO interim super lightweight belt in February.
Adam Azim vs. Kurt Scoby
- Division/Weight: Super Lightweight
- Azim record: 13-0
- Scoby record: 18-1
- Belts at stake: N/A
Rising star Azim will try to position himself for a title shot in a stacked 140-pound division when he faces late replacement Scoby.
The 23-year-old has won four in succession via knockout and comes into the fight off the back of a career-best win over former world title challenger Sergey Lipinets in February.
Zaur Abdullaev withdrew with two weeks' notice, giving Scoby the chance to spring an upset. The American has won five in a row, all via stoppage, since being knocked out by Dakota Linger in April last year, although Azim represents a huge step up in class.
Sam Gilley vs. Ishmael Davis
- Division/Weight: Super Welterweight
- Gilley record: 18-1-1
- Davis record: 14-3
- Belts at stake: N/A
Three defeats in a row paint a slightly inaccurate picture of Davis' work over a year of rolling the dice. He was a late replacement for Liam Smith on the Daniel Dubois vs. Anthony Joshua undercard at Wembley, where he dropped a majority decision to Josh Kelly.
That performance earned Davis a spot on the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 card in Riyadh, where he left it all on the line to be stopped in six by the ferocious Ukrainian Serhii Bohachuk. Back in the UK at another stadium show in September, 'The Black Panther' was unfortunate to be on the wrong end of a split decision against Caoimhin Agyarko at Windsor Park, when he dropped his opponent in the final round.
Many expect Davis to have too much for Gilley, who underperformed in an eight-round draw with Gideon Onyenani last time out.
Richard Riakporhe vs. Tommy Welch
- Division/Weight: Heavyweight
- Riakporhe record: 18-1
- Welch record: 16-0
- Belts at stake: N/A
Riakporhe makes his second outing at heavyweight after bidding farewell to the cruiserweight division with a unanimous decision loss to then WBO champion Chris Billam-Smith last June.
Welch brings an undefeated record and nine KOs into the ring, although this has been amassed against moderate opposition.
Mikie Tallon vs. Fezan Shahid
- Division/Weight: Flyweight
- Tallon record: 10-0
- Shahid record: 4-2-2
- Belts at stake: N/A
Flyweight action will get the night underway, with Liverpool's Tallon fresh from a trip to Las Vegas to beat Christian Robles over six rounds, in which he decked his opponent twice.
He still only has a solitary career stoppage on the ledger, something he would no doubt like to improve against Shahid, who has won his past two.
