The reigning National Basketball League champions, the Illawarra Hawks, will aim for their second consecutive victory when they face SEM Phoenix on Saturday.

The Phoenix are having a mixed NBL 2025-26 season so far, having registered two wins and two losses from their four matches. The hosts couldn't enjoy their winning success after beating the New Zealand Breakers, as they lost 71-88 to the Adelaide 36ers in their most recent outing.

Hawks, meanwhile, finally tasted success this season after losing their first three games. They defeated the Brisbane Bullets 116-89 last time out. The defending champions have rediscovered their winning momentum in the campaign and will aim to move up in the NBL points table.
