Week 2 Fantasy Rankings: Quarterback

As crazy as Week 2 fantasy rankings can be for other positions, at least quarterback is steady and reliable. No need to put much thought into these right? Everyone's healthy, and we definitely know who the top QBs are, right? Well, not this year. Injuries to Aaron Rodgers, Carson Wentz, Marcus Mariota have us guessing on their respective availabilities, and breakout performances from guys like Patrick Mahomes II and duds from guys like Dak Prescott can lead to overreactions. Also, Rodgers plays the Vikings and Tom Brady plays the Jaguars, meaning two of the best quarterbacks have two of the worst matchups.

Fortunately, there are enough good quarterbacks that you should be able to field a decent option. In addition to all the worthwhile players drafted as backups, guys like Alex Smith (@ Redskins), Case Keenum (vs. Raiders), and even Nick Foles (@ Bucs) are viable plays this week and possibly available on your waiver wire.

We are also not giving up on the Week 1 busts, which include Prescott, Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Deshaun Watson. We should see some nice bounce backs from at least a few, if not all of them, this week. You might find that hard to believe if you took an "L" in Week 1 because of one of them, but all faced tough defenses/poor conditions. The only one we're really worried about is Prescott, but a home game against the Giants might be exactly what he needs to get on track.
