Jamarra Ugle-Hagan options: Western Bulldogs star to be at new club in 2026 image

Western Bulldogs star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will not be at the club in 2026 after his exit meeting laid out a plan for his departure.

The Bulldogs are hoping another AFL club will trade for Ugle-Hagan and take on his $800,000 contract for 2026, but he won't be at the club regardless of that outcome, according to the Herald Sun.

With no definitive options emerging for Ugle-Hagan's services as of yet, the gun forward could end up negotiating a settlement on his Bulldogs contract to join a new club next year.

Ugle-Hagan didn't play football at any level in 2025 after going through personal issues for a large period of the season.

His last Bulldogs match was in the 2024 semi-final defeat to Hawthorn.

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan trade options for 2026

Sydney

The Swans are desperately in the market for a key forward to fill the hole vacated by Lance Franklin's retirement since the end of 2023.

However, Sydney have always been careful with recruiting any players with checkered pasts.

Carlton gun Charlie Curnow has also been linked with a move to the Harbour City but is believed to be keen on Geelong or Collingwood.

Gold Coast

Having also been in the discussions for Curnow, the Suns could possibly be a landing option for Ugle-Hagan.

Pairing another star forward alongside Ben King could be what Gold Coast needs to transform into side primed for success.

However, it would be a big risk for Damien Hardwick to take on.

St Kilda

Ugle-Hagan has been seen training with St Kilda veteran Brad Hill recently.

With Max King having not played a game in 2025 because of knee issues, Ugle-Hagan could the perfect insurance and even a difference maker.

Ross Lyon also has a history in giving second chances to players throughout his coaching career, including Andrew Lovett and Harley Bennell, with neither working out.
