The AFL MRP classed graded the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the head - which carries a two-game ban but will come down to a single game suspension with a guilty plea.

In the round's only other suspension, Hawthorn ruckman Jon Ceglar has been offered a one-match ban for striking Melbourne's Jesse Hogan.

Gold Coast forward Tom Lynch was fined $1500 for striking Sydney's Jeremy Laidler, with Essendon's Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti ($1000 - high contact) and Brisbane's Dayne Zorko ($1000 - striking) also escaping with fines.

The match day report for Melbourne's Bernie Vince's strike on Hawthorn's Isaac Smith was thrown out for insufficient force while West Coast's Shannon Hurn was cleared for a high bump on Bulldog Jordan Roughead.
