Jack Ginnivan has once again found himself at the centre of attention, this time turning the cameras back on reporters as Hawthorn touched down in Adelaide for their do-or-die semi-final against the Crows.
The 21-year-old forward, who made headlines last month after being doorstopped by Channel 7’s Lauren Rose, was swarmed by cameras at Adelaide Airport on Thursday.
Rather than answer questions about returning to South Australia or his mindset before the final, Ginnivan strode through with headphones on – and filmed the media pack for his own Instagram story, captioning it “me Tn”.

Silent treatment, playful twist
Onlookers said reporters attempted to ask whether he was “pleased to be back in Adelaide”, if he had “missed the media pack in SA”, and how he was “feeling ahead of Friday night’s clash”, but Ginnivan kept silent. The footage he posted instead quickly added to what has become known as “the Ginnivan show” this finals series.
The young Hawk is also expected to draw a fierce reception from Adelaide supporters after he was fined for directing a middle-finger gesture at a fan during Hawthorn’s last trip to Adelaide Oval.
Whether his antics rattle the Crows or simply fire up their home crowd remains to be seen – but for now, Ginnivan has ensured the build-up carries a touch of theatre only he seems able to provide.
