Round 22 was opened by a gutsy win for Brisbane over St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

In a relatively low-scoring affair, the Lions came away with the all-important four points despite Brownlow favourite Lachie Neale being tagged out of the game by Marcus Windhager.

The Western Bulldogs kept their finals chances alive with a five-point victory against GWS, as Geelong claimed the minor premiership with a demolition of Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Carlton fell agonisingly short of defeating Melbourne, with the reigning premiers stealing the win as Kysaiah Pickett kicked a match-winning goal with seconds remaining.

Fremantle continue their push for a top four spot, taking home the four points against rivals West Coast in Derby 55.

Sydney jump to second on the ladder following an impressive win against Collingwood, ending their streak of 11 wins.

Sporting News' AFL experts have combined to produce a Brownlow predictor to figure out who might walk away with Charlie at season's end.
