The AFL grand final parade is a staple of the week leading into the competition's deciding match.

With both teams attending and activities for all the kids, it's become a fan favourite in Melbourne.

Sadly the parade is no longer on the streets of Melbourne, but still takes a scenic route through the parks and bridges surrounding Melbourne's sporting precinct.

10:30am: Starts at Melbourne Park Oval with a cavalcade involving players and officials from both grand final teams.

Route: Melbourne Park Oval, Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Tanderrum Bridge, Birrarung Marr, William Barak Bridge, Yarra Park, Macca's Footy Fest

11:30am: Arrives at Macca's Footy Fest at MCG car park - south of Jolimont Station

  • 9.15am - Pre-parade media opportunity with two players from each Grand Final team
  • 10.00am - Coach and Captain press conference commences
  • 10.30am - Parade commences from Melbourne Park Oval
  • 11.30am - Parade arrives at TCL Main Stage, Macca's Footy Fest
  • 12.00pm - Live music

How to watch AFL grand final parade 2025

The AFL grand final parade will be broadcast live and exclusive on Fox Footy from 10am.
