Demons fans have paid tribute to Max Gawn, after the skipper added to his glittering resume with another club best and fairest on Tuesday night.
In a difficult 2025 season for Melbourne, which culminated in the end of Simon Goodwin's nine years at the helm, Gawn stood tall in the ruck.
The 33-year-old played all 23 games and became just the seventh player in league history to receive eight All-Australian honours.
He appears to be getting better with age, averaging almost 21 disposals, six marks and five clearances for the year, which are all career highs. He also finished fourth overall in hitouts.

Gawn now has three Keith 'Bluey' Truscott trophies as Melbourne's best and fairest, only one behind club record-holders Allan La Fontaine, Jim Stynes and Clayton Oliver, who all have four.
Goodwin was on Gawn's mind during his acceptance speech, stating: "He is going to be forever my coach. Cheers Goody."
Gawn earned a whopping 592 votes in the year-long count, finishing well ahead of Christian Petracca (479 votes) and Kysaiah Pickett (467).
A number of Melbourne fans penned their thoughts about their inspirational skipper online.
Karen-Annie Kaiser wrote on X: "Not even surprised that Max Gawn won the Demons Best and Fairest last night. In a bad season the skipper has stepped up when it matters."
Stacey 1987 declared: "A privilege to live in the Max Gawn era."
Tocks17 tweeted: "Superstar and all round good bloke ... couldn’t ask for a better captain or role model. Well done Maxy, well deserved."
Legend 24 declared: "Build the man a statue."
