Spanish professional tennis player and World No. 1 (August 2008) Rafael Nadal Parera was born on June 3, 1986 in Manacor, Majorca, Spain. He has won six Grand Slam, and an Olympic Gold Medal in Beijing Olympics 2008. Out of his six Grand Slam victories, four are the consecutive years French Open titles (2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008). After Björn Borg he is he only man to have this record. Nicknamed “Rafa” is the first male tennis player to hold the Grand Slam single titles on three different surfaces, starting with 2008 French Open on Clay, 2008 Wimbledon Open on Grass, and 2009 Australian Open on hard surface.
Rafa was 15 years and 10 months old in April 2002 and ranked World No. 762 when he recorded victory in an ATP match, soon, he won some other important matches and within 1 year, he was among the top 50 ATP players.
He has the longest winning streak on single-surface (clay) with 81 consecutive victories from April 2005 till May 2007, this lead him to be considered to be the greatest all time tennis player on clay. Rafa, is also notable for his historic rivalry with Roger Federer, as they faced each other in seven Grand Slam finals, and no one else has this record. Rafa, has great footwork and plays aggressively behind the baseline.
