Novak Djokovic Biography

Noak Djokovic, born May 22, 1987, began playing at age four and made his pro debut at 16. He is also known by the nickname Nole. In 2003, he won his first Futures title by beatng David Ferrer. His parents, father Srdjan and mother Dijana own a pancake and pizzeria restaurant for 15 years. Sport runs in his family aas an uncle, an aunt and his father were all professional skiers. Was being grromed by his father to excel in soccer but prospered in tennis instead. He had 14-time Grand Slam champion Pete Sampras as tennis idol. For 2 years, he attended the Niki Pili Acaedemy in Munich. He can speak Serbian, Italian, German and English. His best shot is his backhand and his favorite surface is hardcourts. He has played in the Davis Cup since 2004 and has compiled a record of 11-3 singles record, while playing in eight ties. He reached his first Grand Slam final in the 2007 US Open before losing to Roger Federer. Won is first Grand Slam in the 2008 Australian Open, beating upstart Hoe_wilfred Tsonga of France in four sets.
