Spanish professional femal tennis player María José Martínez Sánchez was born on 12 August, 1982 in Murcia, Spain. She started her professional tennis career in 1998 and represent Spain in ITF and WTA. She has played in all the major Grand Slam Events but fail to won in any one of those. Her by far best performance in any Grand Slam Event was third round of Australian Open and Wimbledon. Sanchez has won 1 WTA and 12 ITF singles tiles. On the other hand her performance in Doubles is also quite well as she has won 7 WTA and 22 ITF Doubles titles. Currently she rank World no. 19 in Doubles and World no. 53 in Singles.
