Jurgen Melzer Biography

Austrian professional tennis player, Jürgen Melzer was born on May 22, 1981 in Vienna, Austria. He is the winner of Wimbledon Open 1999 male juniors’ event. His career high ranking of World No. 28 was achieved on March 2007, however later he was dropped. In singles, he has won only 1 ATP tour title, on the other hand, playing doubles he has won four titles playing with different partner every time. He won the Graz Challenger 2008 title partnering with his brother Gerald. In 2008 Beijing Olympics, he managed to play the quarterfinals, but defeated by Rafael Nadal.
