Current World No. 19, (as of 9 February 2009), Zheng Jie is a professional tennis player from China. She was born on July 5, 1983 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. Zheng Jie turned pro in the year 2003, and she ended that year being in Top 100 players for the first time. She has won 3 WTA singles titles and won 11 WTA doubles titles with her partner Yan Zi, that also includes 2 Grand Slam tournaments Australian Open and Wimbledon Open in 2006, at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she won Bronze medal for her country in doubles event.
