Serbian professional tennis player Janko Tipsarevic was born on 22 June 1984 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He started to play tennis at the age of 6, and later he joined a local yet famous tennis club, coached by a Russian coach. As a junior player, he won 2001 Australian Open boys’ event, and managed to reach the quarterfinals at French Open later that year. He finished the year 2001, and junior World No. 2.
Due to his great performances at juniors’ level, he was turned professional in 2002, and won his first 2 Futures Tennis titles. In Grand slams, his farthest approach was in year 2007 and 2008, both in Wimbledon Open when he managed to reach the 4th round.
