American female professional tennis player Alexandra Winfield Stevenson was born on December 15, 1980 in La Jolla, California, USA. She plays at WTA tours and at ITF Circuits. Her father, Julius Erving used to play professional basketball in 1970s and 80s. Stevenson turned professional in 1999 and so far has won 1 ITF title and 1 WTA title in doubles category. In October 2002, she was ranked World No. 18 in singles and World No. 67 in doubles on July 7, 2003.
Later due to lack of consistency and an injury that prevented her to play tennis for 18 months, her ranking was dropped significantly, and at the moment she is world no 195 in singles. In 1999, she played the semifinals at Wimbledon Open, and that was her best reach in any Grand Slam event so far.
