Theo James Walcott was born on 16 March 1989 London, England. He is currently playing in Premier league for Arsenal as a Striker. Walcott was grown up in a village of Compton near Newbury in England. Walcott started playing football for Newbury youth club and scored more than 100 goals in a single season. Soon after that he left for the Swindon Town club and later for Southampton. At the age of fourteen Nike agreed to a sponsorship deal with Walcott. In the 2004season, he starred playing football with Southampton youth side that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup against Ipswich Town. However, he did not play in the Premier League, as Southampton were unable to qualify for Premier League. Walcott made his full first team début away to Leeds United on 18 October 2005, scoring his first senior goal in the same game. He scored again away at Millwall four days later, and yet again in his full home debut against Stoke City the following Saturday. His rapid rise to fame also led him to be named amongst the top three finalists for the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year Young Personality award on 11 December 2005. Because of his brilliant performance Walcott break into the Southampton first team. Walcott's impressive performance was showcased in the 2005 Annual match. His performances soon attracted attention from the British media, who saw him as one of the most promising young English talents of his time. There was rumors that Walcott would soon move to the Premier League as top British club showed interest in him which including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Soon Walcott signed for Arsenal in January 2006 for an initial fee of £5m rising to a possible £12m, making him the most expensive 16 year old in the history of British football. Soon after the contract Walcott made his debut for the Arsenal reserves on February 2006 against Portsmouth, scoring once in a 3-2 defeat. Walcott was then named in an 18-man squad to face Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League second round at the Bernabéu Stadium. On his 17th birthday Walcott was able to sign a full professional contract worth a reported £1 million a year. He made his debut in Premier League for Arsenal in 2006-07 seasons against Aston Villa. Walcott first goal for Arsenal was against Chelsea in the League Cup final in 2007. Walcott scored his first Premier League goal came in a match against Birmingham City on 23 February 2008. He finished the season with seven goals from all competitions. In 2008 Walcott has managed to establish himself as a first team regular for Arsenal starting most of the games on the right midfield or winger. On 18 November 2008 Walcott dislocated his right shoulder while training with England national team for a friendly against Germany. Arsene Wenger Arsenal Manager has stated that Walcott will be sidelined for 'at least three months. Walcott was first selected into the England national team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup but didn't got chance to play in the tournament. He made his debut for England on 6 September 2008 in a World Cup qualifier against Andorra. On 10 September 2008 he scored his first international goal against Croatia and became the youngest player in history to score a hat-trick for England in that match.
Melanie Slade is the girlfriend of Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott. Melanie and Theo first met outside the shop where Mel worked at West Quay shopping mall in Southampton. Melanie was outside with a basket in her hand when Walcott's friend announced "the basket is for phone numbers".
He scribbled his mobile number on a scrap of paper and tossed it into Mel's basket. Theo did the same. The romance had begun. Theo Walcott and Melanie Slade have been an item ever since.
