Rui Fonte Biography

Rui Fonte was born on 23 April 1990 in Lisbon, Portugal. He is currently playing Premier League for Arsenal as a Striker. He started his career at Sporting Clube de Portugal in his native country before joining Arsenal in 2006. A regular member of Arsenal's reserve team, he made his debut for the first team in a friendly against Barnet in 2008 pre-season. He made his competitive debut for Arsenal as a substitute for Carlos Vela in a League Cup match against Wigan Athletic on November 2008, which Arsenal won 3-0.
