Jamie Lawrence Ashdown was born on 30 November 1980 in Reading, England. He is currently playing in Premier League for the Portsmouth as a Goalkeeper. He started his professional football with English club Reading in 1998. While playing for them he was loan out to several club such as Gravesend & Northfleet, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Rushden & Diamonds. At the started of 2004-05 season he was signed by the Portsmouth where he made 36 appearances for the club after that he was loan out to Norwich City in 2006. Ashdown picked up an FA Cup winners' medal with Portsmouth in 2008, despite not playing in the competition.
