Arjen Robben Biography

Netherlands player Arjen Robben was born on 23 January 1984, Bedum, Netherlands. He is currently playing for Real Madrid as a second Striker in Spanish League. From the young age Robben was talented football player due to his skills in ball control and technical footwork made him a valuable player, and he was quickly signed by local club F.C. Groningen in 2001. In his first season he managed to get 18 games and performed quite well due to that he was named the Player of the year for his first season with the club. In 2002 he was transfer to the PSV Eindhoven for €3.9 million. In that season he helped PSV to clinch the Ducth League Title and won the talented player of the year award. In 2004 he moved to the Chelsea F.C but it took time to make his debut with Chelsea as he injured himself which kept him out of the game for most of the matches. When he was in Chelsea he earned quite good reputation as footballer and helped chelas in winning the matches. In his tenure Chelsea won two English Premier League back to back and FA cup as well. In 2007 he was transfer to the Real Madrid on five- year deal of €36, 55 million. He is also a part of the Netherlands national football team and has appeared in the UEFA Euro 2004, the 2006 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2008
