He was born on April 26, 1972 in Albuquerque New Mexico and was fond of wrestling and kickboxing at his childhood, and later when he was a teenager, he started to get some training from one the of near about local fighting club. His aggressive attitude and strong fighting and defense is very famous, and for the same reason he has earned a nick name "The Sandman" used by his fans and fighting reporters. Dan Christison is very talented and considered to be the best fighter in several fighting styles namely submission fighting. Since he started his career in Mixed Martial Arts, he has joined some very famous organizations of fighting out of which International Fight League (USA), International Fighting Championships (USA), King of the Cage (California, USA) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (USA) are the important one to mention.
