James Kenneth Perry is a professional golfer who was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on August 10, 1960. He studied in the Franklin Simpson school during his earlier years and later shifted to Lone Oak High School in McCracken County, Kentucky. He turned a professional golfer in 1982 but missed 2 attempts to qualify for the PGA tour due to personal reasons. He also played for the Q-school many times and was many times sponsored.
In the first few seasons, he had to struggle to retain his qualified positions. He qualified with a T-4 finish at the Panasonic Las Vegas Invitational in May 1987. Perry got his first win at the Memorial Tournament in the year 1991. Two more wins followed in the year 1990 and 2001. He also won thrice in the year 2003.
