Chris Kirkland Biographie

Christopher Kirkland Edmund est né le 2 mai 1981 à Leicestershire, en Angleterre. Il joue actuellement dans la Premier League pour le Wigan Athletic comme un gardien de but. Il a commencé sa football professionnel avec Coventry City en 1999 et est resté avec le club pour les deux prochaines années. Après avoir fait 24 apparitions pour le club, il s'installe à Liverpool en 2001 où il a fait 26 apparitions en 5 ans. Il était également prêt à le West Bromwich Albion et Wigan Athletics pour la courte période de temps. En 2006, il a signé pour l'athlétisme Wigan sur un contrat de trois ans. Kirkland a remporté joueur joueurs du club »de l'année et de Media Player of the Year pour 2007-08.
