Jared Allen, who plays Defensive end and wears jersey number 69 for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League, was born on April 3, 1982, in Dallas, Texas. He stands 6 feet 6 inches and weighs 270 lbs. After playing college football at Idaho State, he was drafted in the 4th round in 2004, 126th pick overall.


He made his professional debut in 2004 while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs.


Before joining the Minnesota Vikings in 2008, he has also been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2004-2007.


He was a Buck Buchanan Award in 2003, Mack Lee Hill Award in 2005, First-team All-Pro selection in 2007 and 2008 and Pro Bowl selection in 2007 and 2008.
