The Iron Sheik is a very famous and professional male wrestler from Iran and he was born on March 15, 1943 in Tehran, Iran. Khosrow Ali Vaziri is his real birth name give by parents, but in the wrestling world people knows him from 'The Iron Sheik' and other ring names. During his career in wrestling, he has several ring names for different events, promotoions and / or organization he has joined , and has used several ring names like The Iron Sheik, Col. Mustafa, Great Hussein Arab, Great Hossein Arab and Ali Vasari in those organization and events. The Iron Sheik was trained by Verne Gagne. He started to appear in professional wrestling in 1972. In fights, he has shown many great and stylish moves and has also applied reversals on many occasions that has made him victorious in several fights. Rocking Horse and Various Suplexes are the most favorite moves of The Iron Sheik and can be noticed during any of his fights. To finish the fight and express his win and to the opponent restless, The Iron Sheik often applied some great finishing moves that are The Camel Clutch, once applied, most of the times the opponent lost. During the great wrestling career The Iron Sheik has recorded, fans and media has observed some controversial and serious feud with several wrestlers that includes Jim Duggan, Sgt Slaughter, Dick Murdoch, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan and Killer Bees. The Iron Sheik has won many titles in different organization and promotions, his titles includes New Zealand British Empire/Commonwealth Heavyweight title [as Ali Vaziri], Vancouver Canadian Tag Team titles team with Bobby Bass, Toronto Canadian Heavyweight title [Great Hossein Arab] and North Carolina American Heritage Heavyweight Title.
